What is an Archetype?

You can never fully grasp an archetype, as it encompasses all the forms, symbols, patterns, characteristics, and processes of a thing. An archetype is both concentrated and vast at the same time. Although you can't BE an archetype, they can influence you by offering a framework for your personalities, motivations, beliefs, emotions, and behaviours.

Consider other Archetypes, like Father, Queen, Child, Athlete, Student, Teacher etc. How do we “know” what we mean when we consider them? How might we begin to apply this “knowing” to the Initiated Woman?

The Archetype of Initiation

This is the cycle of life, death and rebirth. The creative life cycle. It is sometimes likened to the hero's journey - the heroine’s journey where there is some sort of separation from life via a “call”, a gestational period of new learning and ordeals, and a return to life, renewed and reborn into a new ‘self’. It is a NON-LINEAR, spiral, zig-zag journey.

This shape is what I imagine the journey looks like through each of the 13 passages.

The Archetype of the Initiated Woman?

As an archetypal energy, the Initiated Woman is impossible to grasp in its entirety, but we will learn to respectfully be curious about her revelations in our work together.

All the practices, exercises, experiments, dialogues and rituals are designed to tap the knowledge held in your tissues, cells, blood, bones, electric signals, energy channels, fields and portals. Activating glimpses and glimmers of how she exists in the deep personal and collective unconscious.
