Session One | Opening & Belonging
Persephone, Demeter, Hecate
Maiden, Mother, Crone
This is where you can hear the Myth of Persephone, Demeter and Hecate in full.
In this session, we won’t be actively engaging with the Myth (this will be explored in Sessions 2-6, where we will examine it in parts).
For now, just listen, like a bedtime story and observe any first impressions.
What seems to be emerging from your body-mind-soul from this initial retelling.
Don’t feel you need to understand the whole story or interpret it. Consider the story as a territory, which holds many perspectives, levels and layers, just like the story of your life is a territory of stories.
“When the myths of earlier generations fall into decline the myth-making process resides in individuals. The birth of a new personal myth in the imagination of a single individual or a group of individuals …. might lead to the rebirth of new and more functional myths in the imagination of the culture.”

What seems to be emerging from this initial retelling. What is standing out?
… A particular character, image or scene? Can you notice an emotional response or bodily experience?
